ISTANBUL — Anadolu Efes has officially announced the signing of American point guard Cameron Payne, securing the veteran playmaker through the end of the 2026-27 season.
The Turkish club confirmed the deal on Friday, welcoming Payne after his stint with Partizan last season. Payne arrives with several years of NBA experience and will now continue his career in the EuroLeague with Efes.
Efes introduced Payne with a welcome graphic and message, "Ailemize hoş geldin Cameron Payne," noting his long tenure in the NBA and his recent campaign with Partizan. The contract ties the experienced point guard to Istanbul through the conclusion of the 2026-27 season.
The addition strengthens Efes' backcourt for the EuroLeague campaign. The move comes as the club navigates early-season roster concerns after Pablo Laso said Mike James' injury doesn't look good.
