DUBAI — Crvena Zvezda secured a significant away victory by beating Dubai 77-58 and Maccabi Tel Aviv earned their first win of the season with a 97-79 rout of Olimpia Milano in Belgrade on Thursday as the fourth round of the EuroLeague continued with six fixtures.

Zvezda produced powerful defence on the road, holding Dubai to just 58 points in a venue where victories are rare. Jordan Nwora led the visitors with 20 points, Semi Ojeleye added 12 points and seven rebounds and Jared Butler scored 11. For Dubai, Dwayne Bacon finished with 13 points, Tornike Shengelia had 12 and Elie Okobo added 10. Coach Ibon Navarro’s side were undone early in the second quarter when Zvezda struck with a 13-0 run to seize a lead they maintained to the end for a near-routine win.

In Belgrade, Oded Kattash’s Maccabi responded emphatically after three defeats to start the campaign, winning all four quarters against Milano. The hosts made the decisive move at the end of the third quarter with a 7-0 run to open a double-digit advantage at 74-62 before controlling the final period. Yam Madar led the Israelis with 17 points, Bonzie Colson and Jaylen Hoard each added 13 and Roman Sorkin scored 12. For the visitors, Moses Wright dominated with 23 points and eight rebounds while Alec Peters was the only other double-digit scorer with 12.

Both Zvezda and Dubai now hold 2-2 records. In the next round Zvezda will visit ASVEL while Dubai travel to face Baskonia in Vitoria. The round continues with Bayern Munich against Virtus Bologna, Panathinaikos against Fenerbahce, Valencia against Hapoel Tel Aviv and Real Madrid against Partizan, with Olympiacos, Barcelona and Baskonia also in action.
