VALENCIA — Valencia Basket has extended Jasiel Rivero's contract until the end of the 2026-27 season, securing the Cuban big man after his temporary return to the club on an initial one-month deal.
The 32-year-old first rejoined practices in August to help cover for players away on international duty. He then signed a one-month contract and has averaged 8.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in three official games this season to earn the extended stay.
Rivero previously played for Valencia between 2021 and 2023, a spell in which he earned Liga Endesa MVP of the Month honors twice. His return marks a second stint with the club.
With the new deal, Rivero has now made 108 appearances for Valencia across his two spells, providing continuity in the frontcourt after stepping in as short-term cover.
