THESSALONIKI — PAOK is on the verge of completing a deal with veteran Lithuanian center Donatas Motiejunas, with the two sides settling the final details before exchanging contracts. The 36-year-old is expected to arrive in Thessaloniki by the end of the week to finalize the move.

The agreement is now considered a matter of time, according to the report, with PAOK and Motiejunas working through the last contractual points to trigger the exchange of documents and signatures. Once completed, Motiejunas would add proven experience to the roster of head coach Andrea Trinchieri.

Motiejunas brings extensive EuroLeague pedigree, with 187 appearances in the competition for Zalgiris Kaunas, Prokom Trefl, Monaco and Red Star. Across those games he has averaged 9.5 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest.

The Lithuanian center also logged 262 appearances in the NBA, including 11 in the playoffs, averaging 7.3 points and 3.8 rebounds per game while wearing the jerseys of the Houston Rockets, New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs.
