CARDIFF — WBC world champion Agit Kabayel has weighed in on the highly anticipated heavyweight clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, scheduled for 11 December at the Principality Stadium. Having sparred with both competitors, Kabayel identifies Fury as the favourite, citing superior boxing IQ as the decisive factor in the upcoming fixture.

While Kabayel acknowledges that Joshua remains the only heavyweight capable of ending a contest with a single hand, he remains confident in Fury’s technical approach. “The better boxing IQ is with Fury, but only one guy in the heavyweight division can beat guys with one hand,” Kabayel told Ring Magazine. “I think Fury will win the fight on points or by KO.”

The build-up to the bout has highlighted contrasting recent form. Fury enters the contest following victories over Arslanbek Makhmudov and Mariusz Wach, while Joshua’s recent outing in July saw him survive two first-round knockdowns against Kristian Prenga before securing a stoppage. With the WBA ‘super’ title expected to be on the line, the winner could face a unification challenge from Kabayel, who continues to monitor the division’s landscape as discussed in recent coverage of the Fury-Joshua feud.
