COPENHAGEN — Denmark beat Wales 2-0 in Copenhagen to leave Wales bottom of UEFA Nations League Group A4 after a second consecutive defeat. Two second-half set-piece goals decided the contest at the Danish capital, where the hosts dominated and could have won more comfortably.

Wales were second best throughout the first half and fortunate to reach the break level, but Denmark's pressure told after the interval. Mikkel Damsgaard delivered the cross for both goals, with Ben Davies turning the first into his own net before Gustav Isaksen added a second with a deflected strike from another Damsgaard delivery.

The result leaves Wales without a point and without a goal in Group A4 after losing Thursday's opener 1-0 to Portugal. Already facing an uphill battle to avoid relegation, Wales wilted under sustained Danish pressure. Denmark, beaten by Norway on Thursday, responded to that setback to claim their first points of the campaign.

There is no respite for Wales, who face Norway and Erling Haaland on Thursday in their third Nations League match. Norway play Portugal later on Sunday ahead of that fixture.

Elsewhere in the Nations League, world champions Spain won 3-2 against England at Wembley despite goals from Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane, while Scotland were held to a 0-0 draw away to Slovenia in Sebastien Pocognoli's first game as manager.
