ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Blues forward Dillon Dube will be re-evaluated in eight weeks after suffering a neck injury, the team announced on Saturday. The injury occurred during the Blues' overtime loss against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday night, when Dube was hit into the boards. The club confirmed the diagnosis and the extended evaluation window two days after the incident.

The 28-year-old has dressed in three games for the Blues this season, scoring one goal in that stretch. Dube joined St. Louis this past off-season on a one-year contract worth $850,000, a move designed to bolster the club's forward depth. His early contribution of a goal in three appearances had offered a steady start before the setback in San Jose.

St. Louis will now be without the forward for at least the next eight weeks pending re-evaluation, leaving the coaching staff to adjust their lines and rotation through the opening phase of the campaign. No further timeline beyond the eight-week mark has been provided, with the Blues set to monitor his recovery before determining next steps.
