CARDIFF — Cardiff Devils completed a successful opening weekend of the Elite League season with a narrow 2-1 win over Glasgow Clan at the Vindico Arena, securing a second successive league victory to start the campaign. The home success on Sunday followed a 2-0 shutout of Manchester Storm on Saturday, giving Cardiff maximum points from its first two games on home ice.

Kohen Olischefski put the Devils ahead in the first period to give the hosts the early advantage, and Joey Martin doubled the lead in the second period to put Cardiff in control at the Vindico Arena. Glasgow pushed back in the final period and reduced the deficit through Jake Johnson, but the visitors could not find a late equalizer as Cardiff held firm to close out the 2-1 result.

The victory built directly on Saturday's opening-night win against Manchester Storm, where Cardiff also kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 result. Two straight wins on home ice provide an ideal launch for the Devils' Elite League title bid, with the team showing both attacking edge and defensive resolve across the weekend by scoring early and protecting leads late against Clan.

Cardiff now faces another home double-header to continue the early-season schedule. The Devils host Dundee Stars at the Vindico Arena next Saturday before welcoming Belfast Giants the following day, looking to extend their winning start in front of their own fans.
