ABU DHABI — Alexander Volkanovski defends his featherweight title against undefeated Movsar Evloev in the main event of UFC 333 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, headlining a championship double-header live from the United Arab Emirates.
Two-time UFC featherweight champion Volkanovski arrives on consecutive championship fight victories over Diego Lopes, while Evloev puts his perfect record on the line. The challenger is 10-0 since making his UFC debut in 2019 and has yet to taste defeat inside the octagon.
The co-main event features a trilogy bout for the bantamweight title between champion Petr Yan and Merab Dvalishvili. Yan defeated Dvalishvili this past December at UFC 323 to avenge a 2023 loss and claim the 135-pound belt for a second time, a result that prevented Dvalishvili from becoming the first fighter to successfully defend a UFC title four times in a calendar year and snapped his 14-fight win streak.
The card also includes Azamat Murzakanov against Dominick Reyes and Nikita Krylov against Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev, with rising contender Lone’er Kavanagh facing Ramazan Temirov in Abu Dhabi. The event follows UFC 333 weigh-ins where title bouts were set as the promotion returns to Etihad Arena for its latest pay-per-view.
