PIRAEUS — Olympiacos has brought back veteran American center Bryant Dunston on a one-year contract, 11 years after he last wore the red-and-whites. The move marks a second reunion in quick succession for the Piraeus club, coming shortly after the announcement of George Pappas.
The 40-year-old center, listed at 2.03m and born on 28/05/1987, has signed a deal for one season and has already taken part in the team's entire preseason preparation. Olympiacos confirmed the agreement with the statement: "KAE Olympiacos announces the acquisition of Bryant Dunston." His previous team was Olimpia Milano, and he previously won the Greek championship with Olympiacos in 2015 before departing for Anadolu Efes.
Dunston's career has spanned Mobis Phoebus (2008-2010), Aris (2010-2011), Bnei Hasharon (2011), Hapoel Holon (2011-2012), Pallacanestro Varese (2012-2013), Olympiacos (2013-2015), Anadolu Efes (2015-2023), Virtus Bologna (2023-2024), Zalgiris Kaunas (2024-2025) and Olimpia Milano (2025-2026). Last season he averaged 2.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.7 blocks in 17 EuroLeague games, and 3.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.4 blocks in 10 Italian League games.
A two-time EuroLeague champion in 2021 and 2022 and two-time EuroLeague Best Defender in 2014 and 2015, Dunston also owns titles in Greece, Turkey, Lithuania and Italy, plus Intercontinental Cup success in 2013. His return follows Olympiacos re-signing George Pappas to a one-year deal for 2026-27, as the club adds experience to its frontcourt.
