PIRAEUS — Olympiacos will be without Nikola Milutinov for the opening EuroLeague double-week, ruling the Serbian center out for back-to-back games against Zalgiris Kaunas on Sept. 29 at 20:00 and Virtus Bologna on Oct. 1 at 21:30. The club confirmed Milutinov continues to feel discomfort in his left hip, forcing him to miss both contests as the Piraeus side enters the first double-week of the EuroLeague season.
With Milutinov sidelined, Bryant Dunston has traveled with the squad for the two-game trip. Dunston had also followed the team for the Super Cup games at the Peristeri indoor arena, and his inclusion now provides cover in the paint while Milutinov recovers from the lingering hip issue.
Compared to the Super Cup roster, head coach Georgios Bartzokas will have Tyrique Jones available after serving a suspension to pair with Donta Hall in the frontcourt rotation. If selected in the 12-man squad, Dunston would serve as an extra option among the bigs, giving Olympiacos added depth for the demanding week following Bryant Dunston's return to Olympiacos 11 years after his exit.
