DUNDEE — Dundee Stars came from two goals down to end Cardiff Devils' unbeaten start to the Elite League season with a 3-2 overtime victory in the visitors' first away game of the campaign.

Cardiff Devils made a flying start on the road, with Riley Brandt and Josh MacDonald striking inside the opening six minutes to put the visitors 2-0 ahead.

Dundee hit back before the interval, however, as Travis Ewanyk and Zack Hoffman levelled the contest at 2-2 by the end of the first period. Neither side could find a winner in regulation time before Rasmus Nousiainen settled the contest in overtime to secure victory for the Stars.

The result inflicts a first league defeat of the season on Cardiff, who had remained perfect until their trip to Dundee following Nick Welsh's overtime winner against Coventry Blaze. Dundee have now announced themselves with a comeback victory early in the campaign.
